Central Europe in 9 days (Prague-Vienna-Budapest)

If you want to see the gist of Central Europe, but don’t have much time, simply use this itinerary: the beautiful cities of Prague, Vienna and Budapest in only 9 days.

Day 1-3: Prague

Prague has so much to offer: starting from the amazing hearty cuisine and the famous Czech beer, to the fascinating architecture and rich history of the city. Even though the trip to the castle may feel too much like a hike for some, the view from above is definitely worth it! Wander around the Old town and the little markets around it and soak in the amazing atmosphere of Prague. Insider tip: trdelník is undoubtedly one of the best baked goods that Central Europe has to offer!

Day 4-6: Vienna

From Ringstrasse to the Opera, Vienna is full of imperial grandeur. Explore the maze-like streets of Innere Stadt and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Don’t forget to try the famous Sacher cake and a latte at one of the numerous coffee places in Vienna! Spend at lleast a day exploring the Schönbrunn Palace, full of frescoed ceilings, crystal chandeliers, mirrors and gilded ornaments.

Day 7-9: Budapest

See the renaissance delights on Castle Hill, a UNESCO Heritage Site. If you feel like doing a small (or a big) shopping tour, why don’t you visit Vaci utca and Andrássy út? There you can definitely find something for everybody!
